COVID-19

The team at Recruit2schools pride themselves on the support we provide to staff who work for us, and we understand that COVID-19 has changed the way of working and how it effects people differently.

We have taken COVID training along with MIND training and other mental health courses in order to be able to support staff the best we can. If you are struggling in any way, please let us know, we are here to help.

Our office is currently closed for registrations and staff are working from home, we feel this is the safest at the moment for both staff and visitors. We are holding registrations virtually, via Zoom.

Although the office is closed, we are ready! We have a designated desk for registrations which has a screen, hand gel on entering and will be working on an appointment based system to ensure numbers in the office are kept low and to allow time for cleaning in between candidates.

Small hand gels are available for all staff – which we will refill when empty.

We are always happy to help and if there is anything, not already in place, that you will you need or you think will help others, please let us know. We are an agency that prioritises staff.

Deliveries of Lateral Flow Self-Tests to LA Hubs have now been made for collection by supply staff in education settings who are unable to access tests directly via schools. To arrange collection you can use the email address below; EDFSCOVID19@bridgend.gov.uk

Participation in testing is completely voluntary. The purpose of testing is to find asymptomatic positive cases and isolate, to break transmission chains. These tests are not an enabler to work and as such test results should not be used as a condition of entry on to school grounds or as prerequisite to be employed at a school. Individuals who receive a negative LFT should not change or relax their behaviours. The most effective way of stopping the spread of the virus is to follow the primary control measures that have been put in place.
